Mental Health care is a very important part of general practice as the burden of mental illness continues to grow in our community. Many of us during our life time will struggle with mental illness and at this time the quality of care that you receive can make such a difference to your life and relationships.

Counselling

Focussed counselling has long been established as an important therapy for many kinds of mental illness. Fortunately Medicare can provide appropriate support to fund dedicated sessions by a psychologist or counsellor if your GP completes a mental health care plan and organises an appropriate referral for you.
