Albany Skin Clinic Introduces OptimaScan Advanced Skin Imaging
Albany Skin Clinic now offers OptimaScan, an advanced skin imaging and mole surveillance system designed to support comprehensive skin monitoring.
Using specialised full-body photography and lesion mapping technology, OptimaScan creates a detailed baseline record that can be compared over time to help identify new or changing lesions.
OptimaScan is particularly beneficial for patients with multiple moles, a history of skin cancer, or those seeking ongoing skin surveillance.
Pioneer Health Launches GP Afterhours Clinic to Support the Albany Community
Pioneer Health is pleased to announce the launch of a new GP Afterhours Clinic, designed to improve access to medical care for the Albany community during weekends.
Commencing Saturday 7 February, the clinic will operate from the Mackenzie Centre at Pioneer Health, providing face-to-face GP appointments when regular weekday services are unavailable.
The Afterhours Clinic is part of Pioneer Health’s ongoing commitment to supporting timely access to primary healthcare and reducing pressure on hospital emergency departments for non-urgent medical issues.
- Saturday: 12.00 pm – 3.30 pm
- Sunday: 9.00 am – 12.30 pm
The clinic will be staffed by General Practitioners, supported by Pioneer Health’s nursing and administrative team, ensuring patients receive high-quality, coordinated care.
The GP Afterhours Clinic is open to all patients, not only those who usually attend Pioneer Health. Appointments are required and can be made:
- Online booking, or
- Phoning (08) 9842 2822, or
Following each consultation, a clinical handover will be provided to the patient’s usual GP to support continuity of care.
- Children under 16 years of age and concession card holders are bulk billed
- Private fees apply for other patients
