Mikayla completed a Bachelor of Science (Physiology and Sports Science) and a Master of Medicine at the University of Western Australia, graduating in 2022.

Originally from Port Hedland and raised in Newman and Busselton, Mikayla has always been passionate about rural medicine and remains a country girl at heart. She completed her junior years at Royal Perth Hospital, and enjoyed multiple secondments in the Pilbara before relocating to Albany where she has spent the last twelve months working at Albany Health Campus.

Mikayla has experience across the major specialities of medicine and has enjoyed time in special interest areas such as paediatrics, palliative care, addiction medicine and gynaecology. She enjoys the variety of general practice and values building meaningful connections with patients from all walks of life.

Outside of work, she enjoys staying active (especially if it involves the water), sharing a good cheese platter and discovering new music.
