Pioneer Health has a dedicated team of doctors, nurses and receptionists who are committed to your care throughout your pregnancy. We have three GP Obstetricians at the Pioneer who have obstetric privileges at Albany Health Campus. Our GP obstetricians are available on-call for our maternity patients. We also have a Diabetes Educator at the practice that is available to any of obstetric patients. Our current GP obstetricians are Dr David Tadj, Dr Carly Roxburgh, Dr Yen Lo and Dr Sourabh Joshi. Our team includes clinicians skilled in caesarean section. Should you require an elective, repeat or emergency caesarean section, this service is provided by our Pioneer Health team.
Pioneer Health are committed to providing you and your family with high quality health care. The Pioneer obstetric team’s highest priority is to ensure a healthy baby and mother. In order to give children the very best start in life, it’s important that mothers have a healthy pregnancy. The Pioneer Health Pre-Pregnancy Clinic represents an excellent opportunity to prevent health issues for you in your pregnancy and your baby. Please read our Pre-Pregnancy Clinic Brochure below for more information.
Pioneer Health's investment in specialized obstetrics equipment allows us to offer high quality pregnancy care. The practice has an ultrasound machine that is used regularly to ascertain your baby's wellbeing and presentation. We also have two on-site cardiotocograph (CTG) machines. Our CTG allows for foetal heart rate monitoring in the third trimester of pregnancy.
To further enhance the care of our obstetric patients, Pioneer Health now has a Lactation Consultant/Midwife, Mel Scott. Mel is a mother of four who has 12+ years experience as a midwife and is a qualified Lactation Consultant.
