Pioneer Health Albany now has both private and government funded flu vaccines in stock.

We are now taking bookings.

You can read about the 2017 four strain flu vaccine (quadrivalent) here

The following groups will be eligible for government funded (free) vaccines in 2017:

  • People aged 65 years and over
  • Children aged >6months to 5 years
  • Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people who are 15 years and over
  • Pregnant women
  • People aged six months and over with medical conditions such as severe asthma, lung or heart disease, low immunity or diabetes that can lead to complications from influenza

There will be a cost of $15 for the private flu vaccines.

We recommend vaccination before June 2017 to ensure the best coverage.  The flu vaccine does not provide long-lasting immunity - so you need to be vaccinated each year.

For your convenience, Pioneer Health will be running Flu vaccine only* clinics.
